Sylhet Dibir Haor likes a kingdom of Red Lily
Sylhet Dibri Haour , it’s a Bill, which is located at Jaintapur upazila of Sylhet District. There are four beels of included Dibi Haor, Yama, Harapkata Kendree Beel.
Historically known, all beels are memorable place of King Ram Sing of Jainta Kingdom.
History of Dibir Haor
Local resident, Niranjan Biswas of Sylhet Dibir Haor, said, that there was no red lily. According to him, 30 years ago Khasia community worshiped with the red lily over the border.
Someone of the Khasia community first planted a red lily in Dibir Haor to meet the demand of flowers in worship.
From that time, Dibi Beel,, Kendree Beel, Harapkata Beel, Yama Beel, and the surrounding public pond-pipe full with red lily.
At least 700 acres of land fullfil with red lily. The Bill is taking possession of the name of the tourist spot of Sylhet as an amazing tourist spots.
Freedom fighter Shamsul Haque a resident of Sylhet Dibri Haor village, he said, that there are huge amount of red lily and various species of domestic fish in the water of this bill. When the bills gets dry, then fisherman catching the fish and farming and fishing is the occupation of their resident.
The tourists should reach the morning to see the beautiful scenery of red lily.
Meghalaya beside the Sylhet Dibir Haor and Khasia community lives below the bill. The burial of Raja Ram Singh’s located at the Harapkata Beel and Dibi Haour.
Khasiya’s betel-nuts garden is seen in the far hills.
