Some Mashed Recipe

Mashed is one of the most favorite food in Bengali culture. It is a traditional food in Bangladesh. It is most perfect for white rice or panta vat (means it water mix white rice). Mashed made from various vegetables, fish, lentils etc. Here is some mashed recipe.

1.Burn /Boiled Potato Mashed

Ingredients

Burn/boiled potato 4 pieces

Burn red chili 4 pieces

1 Medium onion (Chopped)

Salt to taste

Oil to taste

Coriander leaves chopped 1 tabspoon (optional)

Method

At first potato will be burned. Than mix all ingredients in a bowl. Now it finely blend in hand. Now it ready.

2.Tomato Mashed

Ingredients

4 Medium Tomato

1 Medium Onion chopped

3 Green chili (chopped)

Salt to taste

Mustered oil as needed

Sugar 1 teaspoon

Coriander leaves 1 tabspoon

Method

At first tomato will be boiled in well. Now all ingredients mix in a bowl  and finely blend . Than it will be ready.

3.Burn Brinjal Mashed

Ingredients

Burn Brinjal 2 pieces

Chopped onion 1 cup

Green chili 4-5 pieces

Chopped coriander 2 tabspoon

Salt to taste

Mustard oil as needed

Method

At first Brinjal must be washed. Then cut up and down both side.That stage it should be burned on the stove. Also burned green chili. Then peel Brinjal well take.Then mix all ingredients and mix well. Now it is ready.

4.Gourd Leaves Mashed

Ingredients

Gourd Leaves 2 cup

Chopped Onion 1/2 cup

Green chili 4-5 pieces

Salt to taste

Mustard oil 2 tabspoon

Chopped coriander leaves 2 tabspoon

Method

Heat oil in a pan. Now all ingredients put it and fry in well. Then it grind finely. Now it is ready.

5.Mashed of Ivy gourd peel (Coccinia grandis)

Ingredients

Ivy gourd peel 1 cup

Shrimp (small size) 4 pieces

3 Onion

1 Garlic

Green or Red chili 3-5 pieces

Mustard oil 1 tabspoon

Method

Heat oil in a pan . Now all ingredients fry in well. Then it finely blend.

Now it will be ready.

6.Lady’s Finger Mashed

Ingredients

Lady’s finger (medium sized chopped) 2 cup

1 Medium Onion chopped

3-4 pieces Green chili chopped

Salt to taste

Mustard oil 1 tabspoon

* You can use burn or fried red chili

Method

At first lady’s finger will be boiled in a pan. But remembere, after that boiling here is not rest of water.

Now all ingredients mix well in a bowl by your hand.

7.Garlic with chili Mashed

Ingredients

Dry chili paste 1 cup

Garlic paste 1/2 cup

Onion paste 1/2 cup

Onion chopped 1/2 cup

Mustard oil 1 cup

Salt to taste

Method

Firstly heat 1/2 cup oil in a pan. Now add onion chopped and fry it until brown. Then add onion paste, garlic paste, chili paste and salt. Add 1-2  tabspoon water. After few minutes , again add 1 cup water. When it will be dry then add 1/2 cup water .After few minutes it will be dry. Now it completly ready.

8.Coriander with Green Chili Mashed

Ingredients

Coriander leaves 2 cup

Green chili 7-8 pieces

Garlic 3-4 slice

Method

Coriander leaves, green  chili and garlic slice mix with salt and boiled in water until water will be dry.

9.Rui fish Mashed

Ingredients

Fish 2 pieces

1 Onion (big) chopped

Dry chili 2-3

Salt to taste

Mustard oil 5 teaspoon

Coriander leaves chopped 3/4 teaspoon

Method

At first, fish mix with a little bit turmeric powder and fry on low heat.

Fri onion chopped and chili chopped. Should be chosen fishbone.

Mix all ingredients finely. Now it ready to serve with rice.

10.Rui Mashed with green chili

Ingredients

Fried fish 1 cup (without fishbone)

1 Onion chopped

2-3 green chili chopped

Turmeric a little bit

Salt to taste

Mustard oil 2-3 tabspoon

Method

Mix salt and turmeric powder with the fish and Fri it on low heat.

Should be chosen fishbone.

Mix all ingredients by hand .

Now it ready.

11.Cowpea with Rui fish Mashed

 

Ingredients

Cowpea chopped 2 cup

1 Onion chopped

2-3 Pieces Fish fry

Salt to taste

2-3 Green chili chopped

Garlic pieces 2-3

Soya oil 2 tabspoon

Mustard oil 1 tabspoon

Method

Fry fish should be chosen fishbone.

Cowpea boiled in a pan.

2 tabspoon soyas oil heat in a pan. Add onion chopped, garlic, green chili. Fri it until remove fragrance. Now add boiled cowpea and fry it 1-2 minutes. Now blend by blender.

Add mustard oil for garnishing.

12. Bean potato mashed

Ingredients

Bean 4-5 pieces (boiled)

1 Potato (boiled)

1 Onion chopped

Coriander leaves chopped 2 tabspoon

Onion leaf 1-2 chopped

Mustard oil as needed

Salt to taste

Method

All ingredients mix in a pan and finely blend by hand.

13. Onion leaves mashed

Ingredients

Onion leaves chopped 2 cup

Mustard oil 1 tabspoon

Onion chopped 1 tabspoon

2 Dry chili

Salt to taste

Method

At first onion leaves fry for 1-2 minutes on medium heat.

Now all ingredients mix and finely blend by hand.

14. Bulb of taro (Colocasia)

Ingredients

Boiled bulb of taro 1 cup ( remove from peel)

Onion chopped 1/2 cup

Garlic paste 1 tabspoon

6-7 Green chili chopped

3-4 Dry red chili (fried)

Black cumin 1/2 teaspoon

Coriander leaves chopped 1 tabspoon

Mustard oil as needed

Salt to taste

Method

Heat oil in a nonstick pan and add black cumin, then add garlic paste and fry it until golden. Add onion chopped and green chili.

Now add boiled bulb of taro and cook on low heath.

After 4-5 minutes, remove from heat and finely blend by hand.

Now it ready.

15. Snackhead mashed

Ingredients

Snackhead fish 250 gm

Onion chopped 1/2 cup

Garlic chopped 1/2 teaspoon

4-5 Green chili

Coriander leaves chopped 2 tabspoon

Mustard oil as needed

Salt to taste

Method

First fish mix with turmeric powder and salt and it will be boiled or fried. Then should be chosen fishbone.

Now heat oil in a pan and add onion, garlic and green chili. After that remove from heat and add fish and coriander leaves chopped.

Now finely blend by hand and it ready to serve.

16. Mashed of Taro

PC: Rumi

Ingredients

Roots of Taro about 5-6 inch

Little shrimp 1/2 cup

1 Onion slice

3 Pieces Garlic

4-5 Dry chili

Mustard seeds 1/2 teaspoon

Salt to taste

Mustard oil as needed

Method

At first taro will be burned in a fry pan on low heat. When it will be boiled then peel it.

Heat oil in a pan and shrimp fry. Add dry chili, mustard seeds, onion and garlic and fry it until brown. Then add taro and salt. Cook it for 1-2 minutes.

Now finely blend by hand or blender. Now it ready.

17. Centella Leaves Mashed

Ingredients

Centella leaves 1 cup

2 Green chili chopped

2 Pieces Garlic

Salt to taste

Sesame 1 tabspoon

Method

All ingredients mix well and blend in well.

18. Dry fish Mashed

Ingredients

2 or 3 types dry fish 2 cup

2 Big onion

2 Garlic

6-7 Dry chili

4-5 Green chili

Turmeric powder a little bit

Salt to taste

Coriander leaves chopped 2 tabspoon

Method

Dry fish will be fried in a nonstick pan on low heat. When it will be crispy then mix with a little bit of turmeric powder and salt. Add water and boiled it. 

When it will be dry then remove from heat and blend by shill or mixture.

You can also used onion and chili chopped.

19. Mashed of Dal

Ingredients

Dal (any types) 1 cup

Water 3 cup

Garlic chopped 1 teaspoon

2 Green chili

Salt to taste

Oil as needed

Method

All ingredients mix with Dal and it will be boiled. When it will be thick then remove from heat.

Now add 2 tabspoon onion chopped , 1 tabspoon green chili chopsoya salt and 2 tabspoon mustard oil and finely blend by hand.

Now it ready.

20. Beans Mashed

Ingredients

Beans 250 gm

Mustard oil 3 tabspoon

5-6 Fried dry red chili

Onion chopped 1/2 cup

Salt to taste

Mustard oil 2 tabspoon

Method

Taken boiled beans.

Heat oil in a pan and add onion chopped and fry it until brown.

Then mix fried onion, dry chili,salt, beans and oil.

Now finely blend by hand. Now it ready.

21. Nuts Mashed

Ingredients

Nuts

Green chili

Salt

Mustard oil

Method

At first peel the nuts and fry it in a pan on medium heat.

Now mix all ingredients and blend by blender or Shill.

22. Loitta Dry Fish Mashed

Ingredients

Loitta dry fish 50 gm

2 Big Garlic

5 Dry red chili

Onion chopped 1/2 cup

Salt to taste

Musturd  Oil  2 tabspoon

Method

Washed well and mix with 1 cup water and boiled it.

Heat oil in a pan and fry chili, now add garlic, onion. After that add dry fish.Fry all ingredients about 2-3 minutes and then blend by blender or shill.

23. Green Chili Mashed

Ingredients

Green chili 15-20 pieces

Onion chopped 1 cup

Garlic chopped half cup

Coriander leaves chopped 1 tabspoon

Salt to taste

Method

Heat oil in a pan and add onion chopped, garlic, green chili. After that coriander leaves. Then blend by blender or shill.

Now it ready.

24. Loitta Dry Fish Mashed (Fried)

Ingredients

Dry fish 100 gm

Onion chopped one and half cup

Garlic chopped 1/4 cup

7-8 Dry chili

Salt to taste

Method

Heat oil in a pan and fry the dry fish. Add onion chopped, garlic chopped and dry chili.

Now all ingredients blend by blender or shill.

Now it ready.

25. Chepa fish mashed

Ingredients

Dry fish 100 gm

Onion chopped one and half cup

6-7 Dry chili

Salt to taste

Method

Heat oil in a pan and fry dry fish. Add onion chopped, garlic chopped and dry chili.

Now add all ingredients and blend by blender or shill.

Now it ready.

26. Popy seeds Mashed

Ingredints

Poly seeds 1/2 cup

Black mustard seeds 1/4 cup

4-5 Green chili

Onion chopped 2 tabspoon

2-3 Pieces garlic

Salt to taste

Mustard oil 1 tabspoon

Method

At first poly seeds will be fried in a pan. Also fry onion, garlic and green chili. Now mix all ingredients and blend by blender or shill. Now mix mustard oil and mix with hand.

27. Pumpkin Mashed

Ingredients

Boiled pumpkin 2 cup

Salt to taste

Green chili chopped 2 tabspoon

Onion chopped 1 cup

Olive oil 4 tabspoon

Method

Mix all ingredients with pumpkin and blend by hand.

Now it ready.

28. Chepa dry fish fried mashed

Ingredients

Chepa dry fish 10 pieces

5-6  onion

2 Garlic

10-12 Dry red chili

Soya oil 1/2 cup

Salt to taste

Method

At first dry fish hold on water about 10-12 minutes. Then peel it. Now all ingredients mix well and blend by blender or shill.

Heat oil in a pan and put this paste. Cook for 6-7 minutes. When it will be oily then remove from heat.

Now it ready.

29. Shrimp & Coriander leaves with gourd seeds

Ingredients

Gourd seeds 1 cup

Little shrimp 1/2 cup

Onion chopped 1/2 cup

8 Green chili

Soya oil 1 tabspoon

Coriander leaves 2 tabspoon

Salt to taste

Method

First take boiled gourd seeds. Heat oil in a pan and add shrimp, onion chopped, green chili and salt and fry it.

Now all ingredients blend by blender or shill.

Now it ready.

30. Cauliflower Mashed

Ingredients

1 Cauliflower (Medium sized)

Oil 2 tabspoon

Onion chopped 1/2 cup

5-6 Green chili chopped

Ginger chopped 1/2 teaspoon

Turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon

Coriander leaves chopped 2 tabspoon

Mango chatny 1/2 teaspoon

Mustard seeds paste 1/2 teaspoon

Bell pepper powder 1/5 teaspoon

Salt to taste

Method

Cauliflower boiled with saltwater. Heat oil in a pan and add this cauliflower. Add a little bit turmeric powder and fry it until brown. Add onion chopped, green chili cchopped and fry it until brown. Now mix all ingredients and blend by hand in well.

Now it ready.

31. Bitter Melon Mashed

Ingredients

Bitter melon

Onion chopped

Boiled  green chili

Salt to taste

Mustard oil

Method

Bitter melon  will be washed well and boiled it with green chili. All ingredients mix and blend by hand or shill.

Now it ready.

32. Brinjal Chatny

Ingredients

3-4 Brinjal

1 Tomato chopped

1 Onion chopped

3-4 Green chili Slice

Coriander leaves chopped 2 tabspoon

5-6 Garlic chopped

2 Dry chili chopped

Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon

Coriander powder 1 teaspoon

Cumin powder 1/2 teaspoon

Red chili powder 1 teaspoon

Salt to taste

Vinegar 1 teaspoon

Mustard oil 3 tabspoon

Sugar 1 teaspoon

Method

Take boiled brinjal and peel it. Blue it by hand.

Heat oil in a pan, add garlic and green chili chopped. Add cumin, onion, garlic, masala and water and fry it. Now add coriander leaves chopped and tomato chopped and fry it.

Then add green chili and brinjal. Cook for 5-6 minutes on medium heat. After 5 minutes add vinegar and sugar. Cook for 2-3 minutes, then remove from heat. Now it ready.

33.Cowpea Mashed

Ingredients

Cowpea 250 gm

3-4 Green chili chopped

1 Onion chopped

Garlic 2 pieces

Coriander leaves chopped 1 tabspoon

Salt to taste

Oil as needed

Method

At first cowpea will be boiled. Heat oil in a pan and adds onion chopped, garlic, green chili, boiled cowpea and salt and fry it on medium heat.

Now blend by blender or shill.

Now it ready.

34. Coriander leaves Mashed

Ingredients

Coriander leaves chopped 2 cup

3-4 Green chili

Ginger a little bit

Garlic 2 pieces

1 Onion chopped

Sesame 3 teaspoon

Cumin 1 teaspoon

Lemon juice 1 teaspoon

Sugar 1 teaspoon

Salt to taste

Except salt, mix all ingredients with a little bit and blend by blender or shill.

Now mix salt.  Now it ready.

35. Peel of Pumpkin Mashed

Ingredients

Peel of pumpkin 2 cup

Garlic 8-10 pieces

3-4 Green chili

Black cumin 1 teaspoon

Salt to taste

Mustard oil 2 tabspoon

Method

Heat oil in a pan and add pumpkin peel, garlic, green chili and salt and fry it. Add water (optional). Now add black cumin and fry .

Now blend by blender or shill.

36. Zucchini Mashed

Ingredients

Zucchini 1/2 half kg

4-5 Onion chopped

5-6 Green chili

Fried dry chili 2-3

Mustard oil as needed

Salt to taste

Method

At first zucchini mix half cup water and boiled it .Boiled green chili. Now mix all ingredients and blend by hand.

Now it ready.

37. Broccoli Mashed

Ingredients

1 Boiled Broccoli

Boiled fish 1/2 cup

1 Boiled potato

Green chili chopped 1 teaspoon

Fried  dry chili 6-7

Ginger & garlic paste 1 teaspoon

Coriander leaves chopped 1 tabspoon

Salt to taste

Mustard oil needed

Method

Broccoli, fish and potato  well.

Heat oil in a pan. Add onion chopped and fry until brown. Add green chili and broccoli mixture. Fried well. Add  coriander leaves chopped. Add ginger & garlic paste. Remove from heat and blend by hand.

Now it ready.

38. Coconut Mashed

Ingredients

Coconut one and half cup

Dry chili 6-7

1 Garlic chopped

1 Onion chopped

Salt  to taste

Mustard oil as needed

Method

Heat oil in a pan and add onion and garlic chopped and fry it until brown. Fry dry chili. Now all ingredients mix and blend by blender or shill.

Now it read.

39. Black Cumin with Gourd Peel

Ingredients

Gourd(medium) peel chopped

4-5 Onion chopped

2 garlic chopped

10-12 Green chili

2 Dry red chili (fried)

Fried black cumin 2 teaspoon

Coriander leaves chopped 1 tabspoon

Oil 1 tabspoon

Salt to taste

Method

At first black cumin, dry chili, fry on a pan.

Heat oil in a pan and fried other ingredients and blend by blender or shill.

Now it ready.
