Food : Coconut Ilish

Hilsha or ilish is a popular fish in bengali culture . It cooked in various types . Here post is Coconut Ilish.


Ilish fish 8 pieces

Coconut milk 2 cup

Yogurt 4 teaspoon

Ginger paste 2 teaspoon

Cumin paste 2 teaspoon

Onion chopped 1 cup

Sugar 1 teaspoon

Chili powder 1 teaspoon

Salt to taste

Oil 4 tablespoon


At first fish, yogurt, ginger paste, cumin paste, chili powder, sugar and salt mix one by one and keep it 1  hour. Now heat oil in a pan and fried onion chopped when it brown then add coconut milk. When heat very well and fish . Now it cooked in medium heat for 12 to 15 minutes. After that it will be ready.
