Some Beef Recipe: Bangladeshi way

Beef is one of the most favorite food in all,basically in Bangladesh.This red meat has higher protein. Here is some beef recipe in Bangladeshi way.

★ Bengali Beef Curry

Bengali beef curry is a really healthy food.It is perfect with Roti,Rice, Pulao and Nan roti.

Ingredients

Beef 1 kg

Onion chopped 200 gm

Bay leaf 2 pieces

Crushed powder(Cinnamon,black pepper, clove,cardamom 2 teaspoon)

Garlic paste 1 tabspoon

Ginger paste 1 tabspoon

Cumin paste 1 tabspoon

Coriander powder 1 tabspoon

Red chili powder 1 tabspoon

Turmeric powder 1 tabspoon

Mustard seeds paste 1 teaspoon

Yogurt 200 ml

Soya bean oil 100 ml

Salt to taste

Hot Water 500 ml

Method

First ,cut the meat into small pieces and wash well and set aside.

Mix well yogurt, meat and all ingredients and let it marinate for 1 hour.

Heat oil in a pan and add some onion and it fry for about 20-25 second. Now add marinated meat and stir fry for 10-15 minutes on low-medium heat.

Add hot water,stir well and cover it.Cook it about 1 hour on low-medium heat. If necessary, add more water but not more 1 cup at a time.When it will be thick,then remove form heat and garnish with coriander leaves.

★ Beef Buna

Ingredients

Beef 1 kg

Onion paste 1/2 cup

Onion chopped 1 cup

Garlic paste 1 tabspoon

Cumin paste 1 tabspoon

Ginger paste 1 tabspoon

Turmeric powder 1 teaspoon

Red chili powder 1 teaspoon

Coriander powder 1/2 teaspoon

Cardamom 3 pieces

Cinnamon 2-3 pieces

Cloves 4-5 pieces

Bay leaf 3-4 pieces

Black pepper powder 1/2 teaspoon

Mustard oil 1 cup

Salt to taste

Hot water 500 ml

Method

First, wash the meat and drain out the water well.Now mix all ingredients except onion chopped and oil and let it marinate for 1 hour.

Heat oil in a pan and add onion chopped, fri them until it brown.

Now add marinated meat and add 1/2 cup hot water and cover the pan.Cook it 20-25 minutes on low medium heat. Cook well.Add water little by little .

Actually beef colour depends on cook.So it cook carefully. You check this every 10 minutes.

Add hot water and cover it.Cook it about 1 hour on low medium heat.

When the gravy comes to desired consistency. Put it on very low flame for 5 minutes.

Now it ready.

★ Beef kala bhuna

Ingredients

Beef 1 kg

Yogurt 2 tabspoon

Onion chopped 2 tabspoon

Garlic paste 2 tabspoon

Ginger paste 2 tabspoon

Cumin paste 1 tabspoon

Peanut paste 2 teaspoon

Cardamom 4 pieces

Cinnamon 3 pieces

Cloves 4 pieces

Red chili powder 1 teaspoon

Turmeric powder 1 teaspoon

White pepper powder 1/6 teaspoon

Coriander powder 1 teaspoon

Soya sauce 1 teaspoon

Mustard oil 1 cup

Hot water

Method

At first meat wash well and drain out the water well.Now mix all ingredients and marinate the beef.Keep aside for one hour.

Heat oil in a panaand add some onion chopped and fry a little time.

Now add marinated beef and 1 cup hot water. Cook it about 30 minutes on medium heat. When cooked then keep stirring until all water dries up.

Now add roasted cumin powder, green chili(optional), cubed onion and cook it 3-4 minutes.

When it thick,turn off flame and ready to serving.

★ Beef with cabbage

This recipe is most perfect with rich,roti.

Ingredients

Boiled cabbage slice 2 cup

Yogurt 2 tabspoon

Onion paste 3 tabspoon

Ginger paste 2 tabspoon

Garlic paste 1 tabspoon

Masala powder ( cardamom, cinnamon,clove,bell pepper) 1 teaspoon

Cardamom 3 pieces

Cinnamon 2 pieces

Bay leaf 2 pieces

Turmeric powder 1 and 1/2 teaspoon

Chili powder 2 teaspoon

Cumin powder 1 teaspoon

Green chili 3-4

Hot water 3-4 cup

Salt to taste

Oil as needed

Method

Beef wash well and keep aside.

Mix all ingredients and and keep it about 25 minutes.

Heat oil in a pan and add cardamom, cinnamon, clove, bay leaf. Add marinated beef and cover it.After few minutes when it will be dried then mix some water and again cover it. When it dried it then again add hot water.Keep this process about 20 minutes.

When it will be thick then add boiled cabbage and cook it on low heat . Add green chili.

After 2-3 minutes it will be ready.

★ Mejbani Beef

Basically it is Original Chittagong dish but very popular in whole Bangladesh.

Ingredients

Beef 2 kg

Onion chopped 1 cup

Onion paste 1/2 cup

Ginger paste 2 tabspoon

Garlic paste 1 tabspoon

Red chili 2 tabspoon

White sesame paste 1 teaspoon

Sweet cumin paste 1/2 teaspoon

Mustard seeds paste 1/2 tabspoon

Popy seeds paste 1/2 tabspoon

Cumin powder 1 tabspoon

Coriander powder 1/2 tabspoon

Turmeric powder 1 tabspoon

Bay leaf 3-4

Mix masala paste ( cardamom, cinnamon cloves) 1 teaspoon

Sugar 1/2 tabspoon

Water 3 cup

Mustard oil 1 cup

Salt to taste

Method

Mix all ingredients except cardamom, cinnamon, clove with beef  and keep sometimes.

Heat oil in a pan and add onion.Fry it until brown. Now add marinated beef and cook it until dry .

Now add 3 cup hot water and cover it.

 Cook it  about 30-40 minutes and then add mix cardamom, cinnamon and cloves.

Now it ready.

★ Mustard oil with Spicy Beef

Ingredients

Beef 1 kg

4/5 Onion chopped

Ginger paste 2 tabspoon

Garlic paste 4 teaspoon

Turmeric powder 1 tabspoon

Chili powder 4 teaspoon

Milk 2 cup

Salk to taste

Red dry chili 5/6

Cardamom 4/5

Cinnamon 2-3

Clove 5/6

Mustard oil as needed

Method

Beef wash well and keep aside. In one pan milk,2 teaspoon chili powder, 2 teaspoon garlic paste,1 teaspoon ginger paste and 3 tabspoon mustard oil mix with beef and k3ep marinated for 30 minutes.

Heat oil in as pan and add dry red chili.Add onion chopped, bay leaf and masala and fry it sometimes. Then add garlic paste, turmeric powder, chili powder and salt and cook well.

Now mix add marinate beef.After sometimes add water and cook on medium heat. When beef will be thick then add green chili and cook 10-12 minutes.

Now it ready.

★ Kosha Beef

Ingredients

Beef 2 kg

Onion chopped 1 cup

Ginger chopped 3 tabspoon

Garlic paste 2 tabspoon

Chili to taste

Soya sauce 4 teaspoon

Oil as needed.

Turmeric powder 3 teaspoon

Red chili powder 2 teaspoon

Almond paste 2 tabspoon

Yogurt 1/2 cup

Soya sauce 1/2 cup

Method 

At first yogurt, kannon,sugar,turmeric powder, chili powder and other ingredients mix with beef and keep 15 minutes for marinated.

Now heat oil in a pan and fry onion chopped. Then add marinated beef. Cook few minutes.

Then add yogurt and cook.After sometimes check it until dry.

Now add some hot water and cook 25-30 minutes on medium heat.When it will be thick then it ready.

★ Beef Chatny

Ingredients

Beef 1 kg

Olive Chatny 2 tabspoon

Onion chopped 1 cup

Garlic paste 1 tabspoon

Ginger paste 1 tabspoon

Cumin paste 1 tabspoon

Mustard seeds paste 1 tabspoon

Turmeric powder 1 tabspoon

Chili powder 1 tabspoon

Cinnamon 3-4

Cardamom 2-3

Green chili 3-4

Yogurt 1/2 cup

Oil 1 cup

Sugar to taste

Salt to taste

Method

Mix all ingredients with beef and keep it for one hour for marinated.

Now heat oil in a pan and add onion chopped and fry it until brown. Now add marinated beef and cook well on medium heat. When it will be dry than add 2-3 cup hot water and cook for 30 mink on medium heat.

Than add chatny,sugar,green chili,cinnamon.

After few minutes it will be ready.

★ Vegetables with Beef

Ingredients

Beef 500 gm

Soya sauce 3 tabspoon

Ginger powder 1 tabspoon

Garlic powder 1 tabspoon

Chinese salt 1 teaspoon

Kashondi 1 tabspoon

Cornflower 1 teaspoon

Oil 1 tabspoon

Salt to taste

Vegetables as needed

Method

Except kashondi,cornflower, oil and salt ,mix all ingredients with beef and keep it for marinated for 1 hour.

Heat oil in a pan and add marinated beef.Add boiled baby corn and fried almond. Add capsicum chopped. After 2/3 minutes add cornflower.

Now it ready.
