Fish : Rohu (Labeo rohita)

The rohu is a species of carp family. It found in rivers in South Asia. This is a large, silver-coloured of typically cyprinid shape. Adults can reach up to 2m length and 45kg weights. It eats mainly zooplankton and sometimes phytoplankton. It is commonly used in food fish in Indian subcontinent.
