Cauliflower Mashed: Makes your kitchen from Bengali cuisine

Cauliflower mashed is very popular in Bengali cuisine. Usually mashed served with hot rice. Cauliflower has vitamin B,vitamin C,vitamin K,calcium, iron.

Here is some cauliflower mashed recipe collect from Bengali cuisine.

1. Cauliflower with Shrimp mashed


Cauliflower  1 of 1/2
Shrimp fish 1/2 cup
 Turmeric powder a pinch

Salt to taste
Garlic chopped   2 teaspoons

5-6 Green chili chopped
Onion chopped   1 tabspoon
Coriander leaves chopped 2 tabspoon
2  Dry red chili (fried)
Mustard oil as needed


Boil the cauliflower  with a little water, salt, and turmeric powder.
Then Ddy the water completely.

Now heat oil in a pan and fry the shrimps, garlic, onion and green chili chopped. Then blend it well.

Now boiled cauliflower mix with onion chopped,coriander leaves chopped, mustard oil and blend well. Then add shrimp and mix well.
Serve with hot rice.

2. Cauliflower mashed

1   Cauliflower (medium)
Oil     2 tabspoons
Onion chopped   1/2 Cup
5-6 Green chili chopped
Ginger chopped  1/2  teaspoon
Turmeric powder   1 pinch
Coriander leaves chopped   2 tabspoons
Sour and spicy mango pickles  with oil    2 pieces
Mustard seeds paste   1/2 teaspoon
Black pepper powder   1 pinch
Salt to taste

Make a cauliflower small pieces. Then  boil it with salt water.

Now take a pinch of turmeric powder with oil in a pan and fry the flowers until light red colour. Now put onion and green chili chopped in this oil and fry it with brown. Then stop the heat.

Now add fried onion, green chili chopped, ginger chopped, coriander leaves chopped, mango pickles, mustard seeds paste and salt with boiled cauliflower. Now well blend by hand.

Add black pepper powder for garnishing. Serve with hot rice.

3. Cauliflower Mashed-2


Cauliflower florets  3 (large)
1  Potato  (small)
Onion chopped   1/2 cup
2 Green chili chopped
Grated ginger and garlic   1 teaspoon
Turmeric powder  a pinch
Salt to taste
Mustard oil as needed
Coriander leaves chopped


Boil cauliflower, potato, turmeric powder together. Heat the oil in the pan and fry the onion chopped. If onion will be light brown then mix it with a mixture of cauliflower. Give green chili chopped and salt.

Now fry it  well and cool off the oven and remove from heat. If the mixture is cold, then mix well with coriander leaves chopped, green chili chopped and Ginger-Garlic grated and mustard oil.

Blend well and serve with hot rice.
